I have taken three honors math classes, three honors english classes, three honors science classes, and also three honors history classes and plan to take more in the future. My current GPA is 4.13. I am a member of National Honor Society. I am also in student council and was Rotary Student of the Month. Received the Jefferson County Scholar-Athlete award sophmore and junior year. I am also an "A" honor roll student at my high school two years in a row.
My goal while in high school is to hopefully earn a scholarship to a college or university through academics, football or baseball. I work very hard year round to improve upon my weaknesses, both in the classroom and athletically. Once in college, my most important goals are to graduate on time and start or contribute to my team by my sophomore year. I feel I have the ability to play at a high level of competition. I have a good work ethic, self-discipline, and the willing sacrifice to do what it takes to help my team be successful and a winner. I approach things with a positive attitude, I am very coachable, and I lead by example. I feel these qualities can help lead a team and propel me to a sense of self accomplishment. During the off-season I participate in speed drills to increase my speed and quickness. I also lift weights to increase my size and strength. During the football season my team runs an option-based offense. We usually run out of I formation, pro set, single back and sometimes wishbone. On defense, we usually run a 4-3 base with an occasional 4-4. We have many different coverages with cover 2, cloud, and sky being the most used coverages. We can also run a 4-2 scheme. I attended the Nike Football Camp at the University of Florida. I attended football camps at the University of Iowa and Arizona State University. I also have been playing varsity baseball since my sophomore year. My stats from my sophmore year were .333 BA, .479 On base percentage, 12 runs, 19 RBI's, 1 TRPL, 2 HR, 8 Walks and .938 Fielding Percentage. I was also an all-conference outfielder. My stats from my junior season were .458 BA, .663 On base percentage, 27 runs, 21 RBI, 2 triples, 4 HRs, 23 Walks, and 10 stolen bases. I was also 1st team all-conference and all-metro.
